His sisters came for a visit. All of them. On Friday the 13th! LOL!
They had a tiny slumber party the night before their insanely early flight and were at our condo before 10am Mountain Time. We took them to our favorite lunch spot. It’s one we rarely visit early enough for breakfast. I got the Ultimate Biscuits and Gravy because it’s the best I’ve ever had and it’s a rare treat.
Their guest suite was ready by about 2:30, so we just chatted until they could settle into that and our guest room. Meanwhile, I was getting ready for a building social doing table decor.
The party was lovely. All the stuff we want to do better next time is pretty minor. A lot of people stayed about an hour late, so it seems it was well-received. Given their crazy-early day, the sisters stayed at the party a lot later than I had expected.
After a good rest, the five of us went for brunch again at a local rEGGstaurant. Our big activity for the day was Meow Wolf. We had only been one time, and it was right after we got here, so taking them was fun. We then enjoyed a dinner at Spice Room and spent the evening sharing stories and memories. It was a lovely time.
The next morning, we saw them off at 5:30am and then went back to bed. Mornings are just so foreign to us. (…and for good reason; nothing is even open that early! Well, except for the airport. LOL!) We got word that they all made it home safe. One of them even had to go back to work on Monday. ew.
My only complaint was that it was pretty hazy all weekend. That made it hard to see the mountains.
