My favorite fun/xmas song as a musician was Sleigh Ride. It’s lively and peppy and fun. It’s easy to sight read and a joy to play. It doesn’t even involve my instrument much, but percussion gets to shine.
This week, we took an actual Sleigh Ride, our first ever. We were on Peak 9 in Breckenridge. We picked a late time (to avoid children).
It was an extra-cold night; they even called us to make sure we were coming. They had a bunch of cancellations, so we ended up with a whole sleigh to ourselves. <3
Our driver was maybe 12. His schtick was lacking, but it didn’t matter. Our horses were Laverne and Shirley. The sleigh just before us was pulled by Denver and Dallas.
The ride was amazing. The view down upon the town of Breckenridge was beautiful.
We were bundled like crazy in the 11ยบ weather, so we don’t have many/good pics, but it was an experience we will never forget.
